Account data: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and organization details via Clerk, our authentication provider.

Feedback data: When someone submits feedback through a BackFeed link, we collect the feedback content and optionally the submitter's name and email (if provided).

Payment data: Billing information is processed and stored by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers on our servers.

Usage data: We collect basic analytics about how you use BackFeed (pages visited, feature usage) to improve our product.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and maintain the BackFeed service
  • To process feedback with AI categorization (via Anthropic Claude)
  • To process payments and manage subscriptions (via Stripe)
  • To communicate with you about your account and product updates
  • To improve and develop new features

3. AI Processing

Submitted feedback is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI models for categorization, sentiment analysis, and priority scoring. Feedback content is sent to Anthropic's API for processing and is subject to Anthropic's usage policies. We do not use your feedback to train AI models.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security. Authentication is handled by Clerk. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with essential service providers: Clerk (authentication), Supabase (database), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI processing), and Vercel (hosting). Each provider processes data according to their own privacy policies.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can export your feedback data via CSV at any time. To request data deletion, contact us at contact@backfeed.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a notice on our website.
